Part of my spiritual and creative practice  has been to create objects of medicine with  antlers, crystals, paint, prayers and ceremony.

 

The development of these skills has been significant part of initiation into my sacred ancestry.

 

I make these objects as bespoke ceremonial pieces in select circumstances.

They are always initiatory in nature and very powerful.

Here in Tasmania we have Fallow deer. These are the Antlers I mostly use. 

They are all foraged in the forest and are naturally shed.

I will not touch hunted antlers.

 

As it is only the male who has antlers I find working with them a powerful balancing and healing. As I create I witness an amazing union of the feminine and masculine in every piece.
